Research indicates that consumers place a premium on the superior taste of Pepsi when chilled, and so Pepsi begins a new advertising theme – "Taste that beats the others cold. Pepsi pours it on." The new theme emphasizes the product superiority of Pepsi. The campaign, while product-oriented, adheres closely to the energetic, youthful lifestyle imagery established in the initial Pepsi Generation campaign.
