How to Make a Store-Bought Bouquet Look Like a Million Bucks
Just about any grocery store has a selection of arranged flowers to grab and go, but handing over that bouquet wrapped in plastic isn't very romantic. Make any basic flower arrangement look like a million bucks in a few quick steps:
- Basic vase: Select a simple, clear glass vase for arranging your flowers, which will showcase the bouquet without distracting from the natural beauty of the flowers.
- Cut stems at various lengths: Once you've unwrapped the flowers, trim the stems with an angled cut at varying lengths. This will create a fuller looking bouquet than if the stems are all the same length, which is the case with most store-purchased arrangements.
- Glass gems: Place a handful of sparkling rocks or glass gems at the base of the vase and then begin adding flowers, starting with the biggest blooms first. Fill with accent flowers, and then add more sparkling rocks to the vase and help hold the flowers in place.
- Add water: Finish by adding water until the vase is filled an inch from the top. Adjust flowers as needed, add a note, and you've got a stunning arrangement that looks like it came from a specialty flower shop.
