If your after-work evening plans don’t include a stop at home to freshen up, try these tips for transitioning your daytime makeup to nighttime glam.
- Pick a long-wearing foundation. Getting ready for your night out actually starts in the morning. Instead of your daily tinted moisturizer, choose a long-wearing foundation instead. When evening comes around, you’ll only need a bit of loose powder to freshen up your look.
- Pack oil-blotting sheets. Oil-blotting sheets will help remove unwanted grease from your face, without removing makeup.
- Use eyeshadow that layers well. Eyeshadow tends to dull throughout the day, so be sure to pick colors that are easy to build upon later. If you know you’ll want black smoky eyes later, wear eyeshadows in a similar grey color family for daytime.
- Refresh your lipstick. Kick that daytime sheer gloss up a notch with a gorgeous, knockout red. Remember to use a nude-toned lip liner to help that color stay put!
