Three special artists were chosen to open on select dates of Beyoncé's “Mrs. Carter Show World Tour.” The Pepsi Pulse Opening Acts Series offers a premiere, inside view of the international music scene through their eyes. Each featured artist gives a unique portrait of the triumphs, challenges and creative processes that made them the ideal opening acts for the Mrs. Carter Show World Tour.
At the ripe age of 20, LidoLido has accomplished more than most artists do in a lifelong career. His combination of multi-instrumental talent, innovative rap and technical production make him a triple threat. His debut album Pretty Girls & Grey Sweaters launched him into the spotlight in Norway, and his self-described “nice guy rap,” is earning attention from music lovers and critics across the globe. As he gears up to deliver his sophomore album in June, he will open for Beyoncé tonight, on May 28th at the Telenor Arena. We had the chance to sit down with LidoLido to discuss his passion for Gospel Music, the influence Kanye West had on him as a young artist and the creative process that allowed him to carve out a space for his ground-breaking sound in the global music scene.
