Peter Wafzig/Getty ImagesDave Grohl is getting another tribute from his hometown of Warren, Ohio. In addition to receiving a street named after him in 2009, the Foo Fighters frontman will now have something special created in his honor: a pair of 900-pound drumsticks made from poplar logs, reports the Youngstown Vindicator.
The gigantic sticks -– which feature carvings that mimic the feather tattoos on Grohl’s arms -- will be on display for the first time on Saturday during a concert at the Warren Amphitheater. The sticks will stay in the amphitheater until September, when they will be moved to the street that was renamed Dave Grohl Alley.
