Dave Grohl: “If It Weren't for The Beatles, I Would Not Be a Musician”

Didier Messens/RedfernsFoo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl pays tribute to The Beatles in the liner notes that will be included with the Fab Four’s new compilation album, Tomorrow Never Knows.
“If it weren't for The Beatles, I would not be a musician,” writes Grohl. “It’s as simple as that. From a very young age I became fascinated with their songs, and over the years have drowned myself in the depth of their catalogue. They knew no boundaries, and in that freedom they seemed to define what we now know today as 'Rock and Roll’.”
Tomorrow Never Knows is priced at $7.99 and is now available exclusively as a digital download on iTunes. In addition to the psychedelia-infused title track, the album includes the politically charged "Revolution," the power-pop template "Paperback Writer" and the ominous, heavy-rocking "Helter Skelter," among others.
