1. The Walking Dead
In A Nutshell: Set in Atlanta, The Walking Dead follows a group of survivors as they attempt to make it through the zombie apocalypse. 2. Sons Of Anarchy
In A Nutshell: Sons Of Anarchy details the trials and tribulations of the California-based motorcycle club SAMCRO, specifically the club’s president Jackson "Jax" Teller.
Why You Should Watch It: You like your biker gang drama with a side of Shakespearean undertones and extra grit. Also, for those who happen to be fans of Atlanta rapper T.I., it’s been reported that he’ll make a cameo on the show this upcoming season.
In A Nutshell: Despite her crisis management skills, Scandal’s lead character Olivia Pope, finds herself in a scandal of her own thanks to an affair with the POTUS (President of the United States.)
Why You Should Watch It: If you’ve found yourself glued to Scandal creator Shondra Rhimes’ past series Grey’s Anatomy then you should have no problem knocking out this political drama in just a few weeks.
4. Breaking Bad
In A Nutshell: High school teacher Walter White uses his chemistry expertise to both produce and distribute crystal meth in this Vince Gilligan-created drama.
Why You Should Watch It: If you have a penchant for wayward high school chemistry teachers and great drama then Breaking Bad has your name written all over it. And with the series set for its end this fall you may want to fire up Breaking Bad first in your queue.
5. Boardwalk Empire
In A Nutshell: Set during the Prohibition era, Boardwalk Empire follows New Jersey politician Enoch "Nucky" Thompson who happens to have a heavy hand in the bootlegging business.
