As we all hit the club to request Nervo’s summer hit “Hold On,” the Australian twins Miriam and Olivia Nervo are in the studio working hard to dish out their debut album. Don’t get your hopes up just yet, Nervo is very strict about the content of their music and want to take the time to create the best music possible before they start showing the world.

“Well, it’s the never-ending album. We keep changing our mind,” Olivia said. “We feel like we have a bunch of material, and we’ll write something else, and we are like, ‘OK, this is where we want to take it.’ So, I think there will come a time and be like, ‘OK, these are the records, let’s now finish them,’ and hopefully we will have it done by the end of the year,” she told MTV.

Even though they have us waiting, it is great to see artists who have accomplished so much in their career still have the drive and passion to push themselves to make the best music. It’s rare to find that attribute in most artists who can’t wait to drop their next single just to watch it ripple, but it’s safe to say that Nervo’s passion has led to a successful career. Early on, both twins decided to forgo Opera Australian Academy educations and budding modeling careers to pursue their dreams in music. In 2005 they signed a songwriting deal with Sony/ATV Music Publishing at the young age of 18. Due to the success of Rachel Stevens’ “Negotiate with Love” single, which both Nervo twins helped compose, the duo went on to write with many notable artists including Britney Spears, Kelly Rowland, Afrojack, Ke$ha, and Steve Aoki.

To date, Nervo has found international success from hits like “We’re Are All No One” featuring Afrojack and Steve Aoki, “You’re Gonna Love Again,” and presently “Hold On.” Earlier this year, they played their very first electronic music festival in Central America, had two sets at Ultra Music Festival in Miami, and recently toured Mexico for the Alive Musical Festiva in company with Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike. In the coming months, they will be playing at Creamfields music event on one of the main stages. As stated earlier, Nervo’s debut album is still a work in progress but you can head over to their website to check out new videos and information on upcoming shows.
