From Rio de Janeiro, Brazil to Buenos Aires, Argentina, South America has lured many of today’s biggest pop stars with its beautiful scenery, unique cultural atmosphere, and an amazingly dedicated foundation of fans that is second to none. With summer touring in full effect, we felt it was only right to highlight a handful of notable musical acts that will be traveling south of the hemisphere in 2013. Alicia Keys, Rock In Rio Festival

When: September 15
Whether you’re listening to Alicia Keys in your earbuds or on the radio, it’s clear her powerful voice is tailor-made for large concert venues, and she’ll be following suit when she gracefully takes the stage at the “Rock In Rio Festival” on September 15. Concert attendees would be wise to take a listen to her latest album, Girl on Fire, which features a collection of outstanding records that could definitely be described as stadium anthems. With five No. 1 albums to choose music from, her performance will be one to remember.

Justin Bieber, Believe World Tour
When: October 29-November 12
With any list that highlights today’s biggest pop acts, this one just wouldn’t be complete without the addition of teen heartthrob Justin Bieber. With that said, South America will truly be running red with “Bieber fever” when the Canadian singer visits as part of his “Believe World Tour” in October. With three albums topping the Billboard charts, including his most recent release Believe, Bieber is in prime position to give his concert attendees exactly what they paid for, and more. The six-date tour stint will include stops in Argentina, Colombia, and Chile.

John Mayer, Born And Raised World Tour
Where: Buenos Aires, Sao Paulo, Rio de Janeiro
When: September 17-September 21
With a guitar by his side and his heart on a sleeve, John Mayer will hit the road for South America with three performances in September that you can bet will be unforgettable. The shows come in support of his Born And Raised World Tour, following up his 2012 chart-topping album by the same name. While fans will be pleased to watch John Mayer perform rock classics from his deep catalog of music, they also will graciously get to hear some new tunes too, as he’s currently at work on his upcoming project, Paradise Valley. The album is due out August 13, just in time for his trek down south.

Paramore, Paramore World Tour
When: July 18-August 4
Rock heavyweights Paramore will be touring South America in support of their impressive self-titled album, Paramore. Released in April, the album debuted at the top of the charts in the U.S., as well as in Brazil, a destination that is unquestionably included on their itinerary. The 10-date stint, which begins July 18 and ends August 4, with also include stops in Chile, Argentina and Paraguay. A well-traveled band throughout the years, Paramore are no strangers to South America, as they have successfully toured there in 2008 and 2011.

Justin Timberlake, Rock In Rio Festival

When: September 15
After Justin Timberlake finishes up rocking crowds in the United States alongside hip-hop veteran Jay-Z as part of their “Legends of the Summer Stadium Tour,” the Memphis, Tennessee singer will be headlining at this year’s “Rock In Rio Festival” on September 15. Justin Timberlake is already having a huge year, with his latest album The 20/20 Experience topping the Billboard charts with almost a million copies sold in the first week. Witnessing him headline one of the biggest festivals in the world is clearly a testament to his strides as a premier artist.
