Sydney could be unveiling its sixth debutant of the season after naming Tim Membrey in an extended squad for Sunday's grudge match against Greater Western Sydney.
And the Giants have swung the axe after last week's narrow loss, recalling co-captain Phil Davis as one of five confirmed changes for the clash at the SCG.
Membrey was added with Jesse White, Harry Cunningham and Xavier Richards to the team which defeated Melbourne last week. The only out so far is Sam Reid, who is nursing an injured quadriceps.
An 188-centimetre forward, Membrey was recruited from Traralgon with pick No.47 in last year's draft.
The 19-year-old kicked five goals in the seconds last week and is contention to take the spot left vacated by Reid.
Cunningham has been named in a senior squad for the first time this season after a series of strong performances in the NEAFL. He has not played at senior level since his debut in the inaugural Sydney derby last year.
Davis returns for his first senior game since hurting his back against Gold Coast in round five, while Tomas Bugg and Sam Darley have also been included.
The Giants have also named last year's No.2 draft pick Jono O'Rourke on the bench. He will be making his debut if he survives the final cut on Friday.
But the Giants could not consider Taylor Adams, who has been suspended, and Stephen Coniglio, who has injured his hamstring.
