The Yeah Yeah Yeah’s made history by becoming the first band to ever film a music video on top of New York’s Empire State Building. Directed by Patrick Daughter, the video pictures Karen O bundled in a fur-lined parka atop the landmark building singing about the familiarity of the feeling of despair with a smile on her red lipstick-lined lips. It was her first time climbing to the top of the skyscraper, where the crew filmed between the hours of 3am and sunrise.
“Despair,” is the second single off the Yeah Yeah Yeahs fourth studio album Mosquito. Watch it above and tell us where you’d like to see a music video happen on Twitter.
