Bertrand Rindoff Petroff/Getty ImagesThere have been rumors that Tina Turner was either about to get married or had already tied the knot with longtime boyfriend Erwin Bach, but now a municipal official in Switzerland confirms to E! News that the couple exchanged vows “a few days ago.”
Hannes Friess tells E! News that Turner and Bach were married in a quiet civil ceremony at Lake Zurick in Kusnacht, Switzerland.
Friess adds, “There will be a private celebration in Kusnacht on Sunday [July 21]. We do not have any information about names or number of guests."
E!News, citing various Swiss media reports, says Sunday’s celebration will be an intimate Buddhist ceremony that will include 120 guests. The Swiss news outlet Schweiz am Sonntag reports David Bowie and Oprah Winfrey are expected to attend and all the guests have been asked to wear white.
Turner, 73, and Bach, 57, have been in a relationship for more than 25 years. As you know, Tina was previously married to the late Ike Turner.
