Time and time again we have seen celebrities and musicians team up with clothing companies to create seasonal collections, T-shirts, and full couture visions. Some fail, some find minimal success, and very few achieve mainstream success. With a market that seems to be saturated with clothing brands by musicians that just don’t work, it’s hard to spot the few that are actually worth your money. Pharrell’s Billionaire Boys Club is arguably one of the best men’s streetwear brands of the past decade. Started in 2005, BBC has gained mainstream recognition for its unique vision, exclusiveness, and futuristic designs. Many celebrities and fashion icons, including Kanye West and Jay-Z, have been spotted rocking the famous BBC astronaut logo and several other pieces throughout the years. BBC also made its way on the hit HBO series “Entourage” worn repeatedly by series regular, Turtle.BBC recently launched its new women’s line, Billionaire Girls Club, which can be found at the BBC flagship store in NYC, Ice Cream store in Tokyo, and on their website.

Rihanna’s eccentric tomboy style is always eye-catching. No matter the occasion she is always setting trends, so when we heard the news about her partnering up with River Island we couldn’t be more excited. "I just wanted stuff that I wanted to wear because at the end of the day that's what got me into designing--seeing things on the rack that were great, but that could have been a little more me," said Rihanna in a behind the scenes video for River Island. The collection features many items that we have all seen Rihanna rock in the past including boy shorts, crocheted pieces, tied tank tops, denim shorts, floral prints, and leather detailing.
Kings of Leon: Surface To Air
Who hasn’t dreamt about being in a rock band? Playing sold out shows, meeting crazy fans, and doing whatever you want when you want. For most of us the dream didn’t come true but luckily Kings of Leon and Surface To Air teamed up to create a collection that will at least make us look like we’re part of the crew. The collection includes a vintage-inspired washed leather jacket, skinny fit jeans, a checkered shirt, a classic grey T-shirt, a plaid leather belt with matching guitar strap and a pair of black leather boots. So for all the rock star dreamers who can’t sing or play an instrument you can at least look the part.

The brand has achieved mainstream success through its runway shows at New York Fashion Week and countless celeb cameos wearing L.A.M.B. products. With a $90 million annual gross income from apparel, handbags, watches, shoes, and fragrances, it’s a wonder Stefani even pays attention to record sales anymore.

Kanye West: APC
As an artist who has conquered the music industry, Kanye West is on route to doing the same in the fashion world. So far, Kanye has collaborated with elite fashion companies Louis Vuitton and Nike for a series of sneakers and has also launched his own women’s line DW in 2012. To add on to an already impressive rap sheet Yeezy has now collaborated with French brand A.P.C. for a small summer capsule collection.
Creative director of A.P.C, Jean Touitou sat down with GQ to discuss how the collaboration came about. "Over two years ago, a visitor to the A.P.C. studio was announced to me as 'Kenny'. He wanted my advice on the fashion industry," Touitou said. "At some point my crew informed me that his name was West, Kanye West. I introduced him to the A.P.C. design studio, and he kept asking how he could start something in that fashion industry."
From then on, the two created a working relationship, and overtime designed a small collection. “Over the months, we kept hanging out and finally came up with the idea of doing a small capsule collection of clothes together. 'Small' meaning that this capsule collection consists of a jean, a hoodie and a T-shirt. Those are precious to me and to Kanye too, because it took time and thoughts to get there."
