Remember earlier this year, when Justin Timberlake posted a countdown clock on his website to alert fans to the big announcement of new music? Looks like his ex-girlfriend may now be doing the same thing.
Britney Spears, who not long ago promised fans that her new music was coming "sooner than you think," has posted a countdown clock on her website promising that something is happening in 27 days -- likely the release of the first single from her forthcoming album.
The website also carries the message "All Eyes on Me," which is a variation on a line from Britney's single with will.i.am, "Scream and Shout." So it's probably either a reference to that, or it's the title of the single, but the former seems more likely.
Britney's been working with executive producer will.i.am on her eighth studio album. He recently tweeted that a song she did with producer William Orbit -- best known for his work with Britney's pal Madonna -- is "fabulous and out of this world," and added the hashtag, "#THEbritneyARMYwillBEproud."
There is no release date yet for Britney's album, but it's likely that she wants to get it out around the time of her long-rumored Las Vegas residency, which is supposedly beginning at the end of this year.
