DeMarco Murray is undoubtedly one of the best elite running backs in the NFL today. He’s a problem for all defenses opposing him and easily racks up double digit fantasy points each week. After a remarkable college career, breaking numerous school records—Murray brought his extreme quickness and excellent running back vision to the NFL.

Drafted in 2011 by the Dallas Cowboys, Murray started his rookie year as the third-string running back. The first few weeks of the season DeMarco’s opportunity to shine was limited as starter Felix Jones held down the backfield. After a few weeks on the sideline, Murray got his chance to show his potential. Maybe it’s because he started bumping Watch The Throne before games, we can’t be sure. In a game against the St. Louis Rams, Murray took the opportunity to rush for a record-breaking 253 yards. He broke the Pro Football Hall of Fame record, previously held by running back Emmitt Smith and a star was born.

Consistency is what separates superstars from regulars and DeMarco proves time and time again that he’s a superstar by repeatedly breaking records and taking names. The 2013 season has got Murray healthy and looking ready to bank 100+ yards on the regular. To help him get there, Murray blasts a combination of hip-hop bangers and indie anthems to get himself hyped. After the Cowboys’ win against the Minnesota Vikings this past week, we caught up with Murray to find out what’s on his pre-game playlist. Check out the music that makes this rising star tick and look forward to watching him take on the Saints this Sunday, November 10.
