Liverpool striker is ensured his return from World Cup play-off in midweek will not be too gruelling as owner John W Henry will send out a private jet to collect him

Liverpool 's principle owner John W. Henry has organised a private jet to enable Luis Suarez to make a swift return from Uruguay for this weekend's Merseyside derby.

Suarez will play in the second leg of his country's World Cup play-off against Jordan, a formality as Uruguay protect a 5-0 lead.

The tie takes place late on Wednesday night, making it unlikely Suarez will be able to train with team-mates prior to the Goodison Park derby on Saturday afternoon.

Henry, recognising the importance of Suarez in such a high-profile fixture, is so determined to ensure the striker's return journey is not too gruelling he will send his own transport.

That would enable Suarez to be back in England on Thursday rather than Friday afternoon.
