  • The Best EDM-Trap Songs Out Right Now

One of the most popular genres in the dance music scene right now is the ever growing and ever evolving sounds of EDM trap music. Combining both dance music with hip hop in a fusion of sound and energy that’s been taking clubs and festivals alike by storm over the last year and a half. If you read the post on The Top EDM Blogs Right Now, you’ll know that we (at Run The Trap), have been serving up trap music to the masses since the movement began, and have seen the sound evolve before our very eyes. Now with so many new producers dabbling in trap production, it can sometimes be hard to find the best tracks out there, so let us introduce you to The Best Trap Music Tracks Of The Month to keep you up to date with the cream of the crop.
  • 1. DJ Snake ft. Lil Jon "Turn Down For What"

The only one featured twice in our list, DJ Snake is one of the top producers out there right now, and it seems like any beat he touches is pure gold. From production credits on Lady Gaga’s last album, to eclipsing the scene with “Bird Machine”, his single and our top song of the month “Turn Down For What” featuring Lil Jon asks listeners just that, “Turn down for what?”  The answer: nothing ever.  This track is forthcoming on Mad Decent so be sure to keep an eye out for the official release when it drops (soon).
  • 2. Diplo, "Biggie Bounce" ft. Angger Dimas & Travis Porter

Mad Decent kingpin Diplo comes in with his upcoming single “Biggie Bounce” featuring Angger Dimas and Travis Porter.  This is Diplo’s third song with Travis Porter and possibly the best one yet. Travis Porter flows seamlessly over Diplo and Angger Dimas’ bouncy beat.  This track is featured on Diplo’s Revolution EP. Stream it here!
  • 3. Jack Beats, "Get Down" (ƱZ Remix)

“And then it happened.” The trap enigma known as ƱZ gives us a trap classic with his remix of Jack Beats single “Get Down.” Featuring some heavy 808’s, chopped up samples, and a great use of hihats, ƱZ absolutely kills this remix. This song is available via Skrillex’s label OWSLA on the Jack Beats Remixed vol. II EP.
  • 4. Kill The Noise, "Jump Ya Body" (LOUDPVCK Remix)

LOUDPVCK had a big month, check out their "Michael Jordan" remix, as well as this big remix of Kill The Noise’s “Jump Ya Body.”  Coming off of one of the best remix albums of the year, LOUDPVCK takes this track and gives it a big bouncy trap remix.  Kill The Noise, "Jump Ya Body" (LOUDPVCK Remix) is out now on OWSLA so grab your copy today.
  • 5. Yellow Claw x DJ Snake x Spanker, "Slow Down"

Heavy hitters Yellow Claw and DJ Snake and Spanker team up to give us “Slow Down,” a massive trap/moombahton single.  This top notch team flows effortlessly through genres throughout the song.  You’ll be moving from the beginning to the end following some great synth work and everyone’s favorite instrument, a cowbell. You can grab this one for free now on DJ Snake’s Soundcloud.
  • 6. Alex Metric & Jacques Lu Cont, ft. Malin "Safe With You" (Keys ‘N Krates Remix)

Keys ‘N Krates are on fire this year with the release of Treat Me Right on Dim Mak Records and again with this Alex Metric and Jacque Lu Cont Remix. Alex Metric & Jacque Lu Cont, "Safe With You" (Keys ‘N Krates Remix) was the top charting song on hype machine shortly after it came out and for good reason. The trio uses the vocals of the track perfectly with the melodic nature of the song.
  • 7. Feed Me, "Rat Trap"

After taking some time off of djing, the first new music we heard from Feed Me is the trap influenced single “Rat Trap.”  Off of his upcoming album Calamari Tuesday, Rat Trap features the same high level production we’ve come to expect from Feed Me. Calamari Tuesday is out on Feed Me’s new label Sotto Voce.
  • 8. Cosmo’s Midnight, "The Dofflin" (Wave Racer Remix)

We want to start off by saying that this track isn’t strictly a trap music track. That being said it does contain some trap elements and we thought Wave Racer’s remix of “The Dofflin” by Cosmo’s Midnight was good enough that it should be included in this list. Signed to Future Classic, Wave Racer’s chill style of music puts off great vibes for everyone to enjoy and this remix is a great example of that. You can grab Cosmo’s Midnight, "The Dofflin" (Wave Racer Remix) for free now on Wave Racer’s Soundcloud.
  • 9. Chase and Status ft Pusha T - Machine Gun

One of the best production duos out there, Chase & Status team up with Pusha T to create the banger “Machine Gun.” Featuring some dope rhymes from Pusha T and big room sound, Machine Gun was featured as Zane Lowe’s hottest record in the world. Machine Gun will be out along with their new album Brand New Machine on October 7th.
  • 10. Cafe’ Con Leche,’ "Milk & Cookies"

Cafe’ Con Leche’ a.k.a. DJ Craze and Klever a.k.a. Coffee and Milk end off our list with their released single “Milk and Cookies.”  Boasting two former DMC world champions, Cafe’ Con Leche’ pushes the needle forward with each one of their releases. Milk and Cookies contains trap, future, and club elements and is certain to go off at any set.  So grab some milk, grab some cookies, turn up your speakers and  keep an eye on Cafe Con Leche.
