Arsenal returned to the top of the Premier League table thanks to two goals in 17 seconds against Aston Villa.

Jack Wilshere opened the scoring with a low strike from the edge of the area before playing in Olivier Giroud just moments later to put the Gunners 2-0 up after 35 minutes.

Christian Benteke pulled one back with 13 minutes remaining, his first goal since September 14, but Arsene Wenger's side held on to jump above Chelsea and Manchester City, who had both spent time at the top over the weekend.
