The 2013 Billboard Latin Music Awards are just around the corner, taking place on Thursday, April 25 in Miami, FL. The Billboard Latin Music Awards show celebrates its fifteenth anniversary this year, marking a decade-and-a-half of Latin Music’s most popular artists. Puerto Rico’s Don Omar is nominated for a whopping 18 awards, closely followed by the late Mexican singer, Jenni Rivera. A celebration of the rich and vibrant Latino music, The Billboard Awards honor musicians who have made their mark on the genre for years, as well as emerging ones who are breaking new barriers.

With nominations across eight categories, Mexican DJ Collective, 3Ball MTY are one of the featured talents that show the ways Latin Music is embracing its innovators. After a whirlwind year performing at Coachella, and sitting for a quick photoshoot with The Hundreds, they’re up for Song of the Year, New Artist of the Year, Streaming Song of the Year, Vocal Song of the Year, Album of the Year by a Group, Regional Mexican Group of the Year, Regional Mexican Album of the Year, and Regional Mexican Song of the Year.

Watching the gap shrink between the genre’s rich cultural history and the electronic revolution in music around the world is an incredible transition. The Latin Billboards will be filled with pride in the history of Latin Music and its incredible ability to adapt to the shifting music landscape in the digital age. Check out the full list of nominees and make your predictions for who will take home the titles.
