BRIEF: Rolling Stones to play Barclays Center Dec. 8
The Rolling Stones will come to New York for their 50th anniversary tour after all, announcing a Dec. 8 show at Barclays Center in Brooklyn that will now be the first American show of the tour.
It turns out Mick Jagger did know what he was talking about when he issued a statement, at the time the band announced shows at the Prudential Center in Newark for Dec. 13 and 15, that "Everybody loves a celebration, and London and New York are two good places to do it in!"
Tickets for the Barclays Center show go on sale at 10 a.m. Monday through Ticketmaster, with American Express cardholders getting early access starting Wednesday. The Rolling Stones will release their new box set "Grrr!" Tuesday and a new documentary "Crossfire Hurricane" debuts on HBO on Thursday. The band's Dec. 15 show will air live on pay-per-view as a special called "One More Shot." ___
