  • 1. Major Lazer and Ezra Koenig of Vampire Weekend

    “Jessica,” March 10, 2013 “Jessica,” is a smooth reggae track featuring vocals by Vampire Weekend frontman, Ezra Koenig. Laying out his own take of Patois, Koenig adds a soft falsetto to the relatively stripped-down and groovy beats on Major Lazer’s third single off the upcoming album Free The Universe.     "Hurts So Bad," March 8, 2013 The late Jenni Rivera recorded “Hurts So Bad” with Edward James Olmos as they were filming the Sundance movie, Filly Brown. It’s a shining example of the music Rivera was recording as a way to break into the American mainstream with English songs, after gaining notoriety in the the banda and norteña genres she was beloved for in Mexico.     “Next To Me,” Remix, February 20, 2013 UK Singer, Emeli Sandé called on MTV’s “Hottest MC of the Year,” Kendrick Lamar to take her hit single, “Next To Me,” to another level for the official remix.   • 4. Stevie Nicks and Dave Grohl

    “You Can’t Fix This,” March 3, 2013 Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl enlisted the help of legends like Paul McCartney and fellow former Nirvana member Krist Novoselic for the soundtrack of his rock and roll documentary, Sound City: Real to Reel.
