FOXThe final three acts competing to become this season?s X Factor champion will be Fifth Harmony, Tate Stevens and Carly Rose Sonenclar.
The results were announced during Thursday?s edition of the Fox show, and were determined by America?s votes. Emblem3, representing Simon Cowell?s groups category, failed to secure enough votes to advance.
Here's a closer look at the finalists:
-- Fifth Harmony is mentored by Simon Cowell and was assembled at the end of Boot Camp by The X Factor producers. The so-called ?fearsome fivesome? features Dinah Jane Hansen, 15, Lauren Jauregui, 16, Ally Brooke, 19, Normani Hamilton, 16, and Camila Cabello, 15.
-- Tate Stevens is a 37-year-old country music singer and a former member of the Dixie Cadillacs. He?s mentored in the Over 25?s category by L.A. Reid.
-- Thirteen-year-old Carly Rose Sonenclar, who is one of Britney Spears' Teens, appeared in a Broadway production of Les Miserables.
There was a special performance by Bruno Mars, who did his single ?Locked Out of Heaven.? Former Disney star Bridgit Mendler sang her single ?Ready or Not.?
The final four season-two acts also performed. The entire ensemble sang ?Coming Home,? by Diddy-Dirty Money featuring Skylar Grey.
L.A. made no mention of the story that broke earlier on Wednesday, that he will step down as judge at the end of this season. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the executive will be concentrating on his job as Epic Records chairman.
The X Factor's two-part finale will begin with a live performance show Wednesday on Fox at 8 p.m. Eastern time.
