Photo: Jo LopezBillboard has revealed its Top 25 Tours list for 2012 and Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band had the most lucrative trek of any rock act.  The Boss and his group finished at #2 on the tally after raking in $199,371,791.  Right behind the New Jersey rockers was Roger Waters at #3.  The ex-Pink Floyd mastermind's The Wall Live Tour earned $186,466,703. 

Other veteran rock artists appearing on the tally included Van Halen, who finished in eighth place $54,425,548; Red Hot Chili Peppers at #15 with $33,911,873; Elton John at #19 with $32,920,986; Rod Stewart at #21 with $30,158,491; and Pearl Jam at #23 with $27,363,430.

The most successful 2012 trek of all was Madonna's MDNA tour, which brought in an impressive $228,406,085 in gross earnings and sold out all 72 of its dates.

Billboard's top tours list was put together from Billboard Boxscore figures compiled from November 9, 2011, to November 13, 2012.
