In his career, Justin Timberlake's been a part of some pretty great music videos, so it's no surprise that he's been named the recipient of this year's Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award, which he'll accept later this month at the MTV Video Music Awards. The prestigious honor has gone in the past to the likes of Madonna, R.E.M. and the Beastie Boys, as well as to the King of Pop himself.
Justin has won 14 Moonmen overall, both as a member of 'N SYNC and as a solo artist. He's up for six more this year, tied with Macklemore & Ryan Lewis for the most nominations.
In addition to being on hand to receive the trophy, JT will also perform on the VMAs, which will air live from Brooklyn, NY on Sunday, August 25. He joins a lineup that includes Katy Perry, Miley Cyrus, Lady Gaga and Kanye West.
