Liverpool have midfielder Jordan Henderson back available for Sunday's Premier League final-day clash with Newcastle at Anfield.
Henderson has missed the last three games - during which his side's title challenge has faltered - due to suspension after being sent off in the Reds' 3-2 win over Manchester City.
Meanwhile, Newcastle striker Papiss Cissé could need four months to recover after undergoing surgery to repair a fractured kneecap.
The Senegal international, who suffered the injury during a 2-1 Premier League defeat by Swansea on April 19, will miss Sunday's final day trip to Liverpool as a result.
Manager Alan Pardew was otherwise coy about his fitness concerns, although utility man Ryan Taylor is back in light training after a second bout of knee surgery.
Imagine turning up to a wedding where you have been warned the bride is probably not going to turn up.
This is Anfield, the guests taking their seats and asking if there is any chance the party is back on. Liverpool will hope for a miracle at the Etihad to give the most unpredictable of seasons a final twist.
They will take the party poppers, balloons and a replica of the Premier League trophy, just in case.
Stat of the game: Newcastle have failed to win in their last 18 league visits to Anfield, losing 15 and drawing three.
Chris Bascombe's prediction: Liverpool 5 Newcastle United 0.
