The proliferation of electronic music all over the world can’t be ignored. It bleeds into every other genre and accounts for a massive fan base in every continent. But how to sort through the synths and hi-hats, the 808’s and reverb? Know your DJs. This new series, “The Ten Hottest DJs” takes you through the biggest names in trap, house, trance, and dubstep so you can keep your basslines straight.

This week, we’re highlighting the best rising House music stars out there. House music originated in Chicago in the 80’s. It’s driving characteristics are soulful, uplifting melodies set to a 4/4 tempo with a kick drum on every beat. That beat's what is known as four on the floor (or four-to-the-floor.) Early house incorporated elements of Disco into a roving, repetitive pattern. Repetition still plays a lead role, but the genre-crossing explosion of EDM is morphing and opening up what house can sound like. Almost every major name in electro, including Swedish House Mafia, David Guetta, and Deadmau5, could be classified as House DJs. This list goes a little deeper, digging out some of the familiar talents you might know well, and some you may have never heard of before. Here are Pepsi Pulse's Ten Hottest House DJs Right Now.
