The latest track off Pepsi Beats of the Beautiful Game is the hotly anticipated, hard-stomping, exclusive track “The Game” by Grammy Award winner Kelly Rowland. Sure to bring fans to their feet in stadiums around the world, “The Game” is brought to life through visionary director Spike Lee’s endemic look at Brazil’s beloved sport – and streets.

Check out the film here where a boy proudly wearing his country colors follows a ball through the streets of his Brazilian favela, taking viewers on his passionate pursuit of his ultimate dream – ending up on a stadium-sized pitch.

Singer, songwriter and entrepreneur, Rowland initially entered the music industry as a member of one of R&B’s most iconic trios, Destiny’s Child. As a solo artist, Rowland went on to release five studio albums showing her musical range, from the hip-hop smash “Dilemma” featuring Nelly to her vocals on David Guetta’s global dance-pop hit “When Love Takes Over.” Reflecting on “The Game,” Rowland notes the power music has to cut through: “I think that music is always to inspire and to uplift people – and that’s what this soundtrack is truly about.”

Lee is one of Hollywood’s most iconic directors, consistently connecting real, human experiences with persistent and courageous honesty. Known for award-winning films like Do The Right Thing and Love and Basketball, Lee pulls his audience in at its core by revealing universal human truths about what motivates us, inspires love and drives us to achieve happiness and success.

Through both Kelly Rowland’s passionate, empowering vocals and Spike Lee’s authentic, inspiring journey through Brazil, “The Game” embodies the values of the sport and of life: make it count, never let the challenge break you down, and as the chorus anthems, “Yes we can!”
