The latest premiere from the Pepsi Beats of the Beautiful Game album is stacked with an unbeatable roster: British breakthrough artist Rita Ora, legendary DJ Switch and award-winning actor-turned-filmmaker Diego Luna.
“I Will Never Let You Down (Switch Remix),” the remix of Ora’s third No. 1 single in the UK – the most hits of any British woman – adds an EDM flair with up-tempo music and synthesized vocals that is sure to be a dance music staple this summer.
“The success of ‘I Will Never Let You Down’ has been overwhelming and I am excited to keep working with amazing DJs to remix the original and develop new music,” said Ora. “I love that the increased pace in this recording sounds a bit like a football stadium during a big match: a blend of unique sounds that come together in celebration.”
The expectation of “I Will Never Let You Down (Switch Remix)” could only be visually matched by an experienced director and actor like Diego Luna. Football is a passion close to his heart and in 2009 Luna starred alongside Gael García Bernal in Rudo Y Cursi, a film in which two close friends play aspiring footballers trying to make it big in Mexico City. In the film industry for more than 20 years, Luna has stared in iconic films including Y Tu Mamá También, Milk and Dirty Dancing: Havana Nights.
Coming off the success of his critically acclaimed biopic, César Chávez, Luna captures the power football has to bring joy and youthfulness to a community. In Mexico City, a group of young at heart senior citizens over age 60 formed the Liga de Interclubes de Fútbol Soccer Amateur to discard the weight of life and play the sport they love. Luna’s beautiful film shows us the joy the timeless game of football provides – no matter the age.
