Interscope RecordsNo Doubt have been tantalizing fans since 2010 with tidbits about the progress of their new album, the follow-up to 2001's Rock Steady. Initially the disc was supposed to come out in 2011, but it got pushed back. Now, Gwen Stefani and the guys have finally set a release date: September 25, 2012.
The band announced the big news in a video, and also write on their website, "We are incredibly excited to share the new music with you. Ear candy coming your way!" They added, "Thank you all so much for your support over the last 25 years. We're really proud of our new album and we hope you love it as much as we do."
Since the band released Rock Steady, Gwen Stefani has, of course, established herself as a solo artist with two albums of her own, plus a fashion line and fragrances. She's also become the mother of two boys, Kingston and Zuma, with hubby Gavin Rossdale. Collectively, all four No Doubt members have seven kids.
Gwen and bandmate Tony Kanal served as mentors on American Idol earlier this season.
