The news is out! Bruno Mars is the 2013 Billboard Artist of the Year, beating heavyweights like Beyoncé, Justin Timberlake and Miley Cyrus. A longtime underdog, Bruno Mars hit it big after his 2010 debut album, “Doo-Wops & Hooligans” which spawned hits like “Just The Way You Are” and “Grenade.” However, it wasn’t until 2013 that Mars achieved worldwide success with his sophomore album “Doo-Wops & Hooligans,” an effort that garnered this quarter-Puerto Rican his first Grammy Award for Best Male Pop Vocal Performance.

But the best is yet to come, as Mars is scheduled to perform at the Pepsi Super Bowl Halftime Show this coming February 2nd. With an audience that reached a record 112.5 million viewers in 2012, the Halftime Show is sure to leave a mark on both pop culture and Mars’ career. But you don’t have to wait until February to see Mars live – he’s currently touring on “The Moonshine Jungle Tour” which will continue until September 6th, 2014, with its final show in Monterrey, Mexico.
